What is Midterms on Our Terms?

Midterms on Our Terms is a youth-led, data-driven movement organizing people of all ages to take back school boards as a way to build lasting community power, and supporting young people in shaping their elections at every level in 2026 and beyond. This isn’t performative. It’s a real, data-driven plan.In 2024, SEE Alliance mobilized communities across Florida, reached millions in person, and connected with tens of millions online. Now we’re expanding — to defend democracy, protect our communities, and reshape what’s possible before, during, and beyond the 2026 midterms. We’re also earning the support of some of the most powerful artists, creators, organizers, and young leaders in the country. You’ll see them on our weekly calls, in our trainings, and maybe even at your next school board meeting. People are showing up — and we’re just getting started.Whether you have five hours a week or fifteen minutes, whether you’re brand new or have years of experience, whether you’re in Florida or anywhere else — there is a role for you in this movement.

ICYMI: Federal Judge Blocks Trump Order Targeting Medical Care for Transgender YouthIn a victory for transgender youth, their families, and their medical providers, a federal district court issued a temporary restraining order on Thursday, February 13th, blocking enforcement of a Trump administration executive order attempting to shut down access nationwide to gender-affirming medical care for transgender people under 19. The decision by Judge Brendan Hurson was issued from the bench with a written order to come soon. The nationwide restraining order prohibits federal agencies from conditioning or withholding federal funding because a healthcare entity or health professional provides gender-affirming medical care to a patient under nineteen.
